Rejection isn't pretty
It hurts you through, and through.
It breaks your heart and twists your soul,
It alters everything you do!

And then you have to wonder,
Was friendship really there?
Because the way you're being treated,
Isn't very fair!

How can someone who claimed to love you
Just turn and walk away?
They break your heart and you withdraw,
Your love they tossed away.

So brick by brick you build your wall
To keep you safe and sound.
And when it's finished you stay behind it,
In the safty you have found.

Now Jesus is the only one you trust,
But now, He doesn't want me for a sunbeam.
You know His words are true.
But still you wonder why they left,
And what they meant to you.
